Essential Prenatal Multivitamin

Ritual's Essential Prenatal Multivitamin is a two-capsule daily prenatal for women who are planning a pregnancy, pregnant or breastfeeding. Each serving provides folate as 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, iron as ferrous bisglycinate, iodine, choline, vitamin D3 from lichen, vitamins E, B12 and K2, biotin, magnesium, boron and 350 mg of omega-3 DHA from microalgae. It uses a delayed-release capsule-in-capsule design, and has a light citrus flavour. It's a focused formula rather than a complete one: there's no calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C or zinc, so ask your doctor, midwife or antenatal clinic whether you need anything alongside it. The capsules are vegan, and Ritual lists the product as gluten and major-allergen free, Non-GMO Project Verified and made without artificial colourants.

Two capsules contain (% daily value for pregnant/lactating women): vitamin D (as cholecalciferol, from lichen) 50 mcg (2000 IU) 333%; vitamin E (as alpha tocopherol from mixed tocopherols, from Brassica napus seed) 7 mg 37%; folate (as 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, glucosamine salt) 1000 mcg DFE 167%; vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) 8 mcg 286%; biotin 150 mcg 429%; choline (as choline bitartrate) 55 mg 10%; iron (as ferrous bisglycinate) 18 mg 67%; iodine (as potassium iodide) 150 mcg 52%; magnesium (as dimagnesium malate) 32 mg 8%; omega-3 docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) fatty acids (from Schizochytrium spp. whole microalgae) 350 mg; boron (as calcium fructoborate) 0.7 mg; vitamin K2 (as menaquinone-7) 90 mcg. Daily value not established for DHA, boron and vitamin K2. Other ingredients: stomach acid-resistant outer vegan capsule (hypromellose, gellan gum), inner vegan capsule (hypromellose), silica, cellulose, L-leucine.

Take two capsules together, daily with or without food.

Contains iron: accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6.
